Last updated: July 2026. Short version: we only store what we need to run the product, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- • Your email address and (if you use Google) your name and avatar, so you can sign in.
- • YouTube URLs, thumbnails, and titles you submit for roasting or A/B testing.
- • The AI-generated roasts, scores, audits, and title variants produced from that input.
- • For free users: a hashed version of your IP address to enforce the 3-per-day limit.
- • Stripe handles all payment data. We only store your subscription status and Stripe customer ID.
What we do with it
- • Send your thumbnails and titles to an AI vision model to generate a roast.
- • Show you your own past roasts, audits, and A/B tests when you're signed in.
- • Show anonymous roast results at /r/[id] to whoever has the link. No account data is exposed.
- • Bill you through Stripe if you're on a paid plan.
What we don't do
- • We don't sell your data to anyone.
- • We don't run ads.
- • We don't train AI models on your uploads.
Deleting your data
Email hello@shortkakes.ai and we'll wipe your account, subscriptions, roasts, audits, and A/B tests within 7 days.
